This position will provide management leadership, technical leadership, and strategic direction for our connected products. The R&D Manager, Connected Products will be responsible of leading the connectivity software development team for development and maintenance.


  • Provide technical leadership in area of Connected Products, Big Data solutions and Cybersecurity for medical devices and systems.
  • Manage the software development team members including organizational planning, goal setting, and talent development. Support the recruitment, training and development of team members to achieve long-range growth objectives.
  • Engage in high-level Software Architecture and concept definition.
  • Working within the product development group and partnering with internal and external organizations, developing IT-related aspects of our products as a competitive advantage and enabler for the business.
  • Support regional Marketing and Sales efforts related to connectivity and acting as the point of contact for key questions and pre-sale IT/engineering consultations.
  • Participate in the development of global vision and strategies. Manage strategic opportunities to harness the value of big analytics with connecting the dots with large amount of data from devices in the field.
  • End-to-end process understanding of customer IT systems, products (including service and support), new product development, and IT infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Lead Cybersecurity initiatives, including the development and deployment of product-based cybersecurity controls as well as organization cybersecurity controls
  • Lead new project development and projects work streams
  • Develop core capabilities and new technologies to drive business value Collaborate across broad R&D and IT communities to share best practices and to leverage emerging technologies
  • Support development of company roadmap for connected products technical and business strategies


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant technical experience is required. Advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical work experience in software development. A minimum 3 years experience leading software development engineering team.
  • Experience in Java, Python, Object Oriented Programming, Distributed system, SOA, REST API, Databases and software architect is required.
  • Experience in secure product development is required. Cybersecurity certification is a plus.
  • Experience in AWS Development is required. AWS certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile scrum, CI/CD tools (Atlassian, Jenkins..etc) is required.
  • Experience in data analytics and big data is required. AI & Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Experience in networking protocols is required.
  • Project Management experience is required including the ability to plan cross functional projects and the ability to control, execute, risk mitigate and communicate project status. Project Management Professional PMP certificate is a plus.
  • Experience in managing performance of off-shore and on-shore development teams. Ability to create collaboration across time-zone and regions is required.
  • Good understanding of business value and ability to relate priorities to associated technology investments is required.
  • Ability communicate and partner with various functions and level of leadership.
  • Experience in a life sciences/healthcare organization and familiarity with hospital IT processes and systems is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
