The principal responsibilities of this position are to assess, oversee and implement processes that minimize cost and maximize manufacturing efficiency using our Kaizen Mindset. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager position requires involvement with the production and materials functions, as well as product development, customer service, quality, and safety. We focus on Customer-Driven Innovation and fostering Customer Intimacy. The Long-Term Strategic Approach is to create and maintain systems for Superior Execution that make the best use of labor, machines, materials, information, and energy. This role will manage diverse, high-performing teams which will require the upmost respect for individuals.


  • Overseeing and assessing existing processes and workflows to drive continuous improvement in costs through waste reduction, production efficiency, and operations improvement
  • Optimizing productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures
  • Providing thorough risk assessment of process changes and create standardized operating instructions for successful implementation
  • Communicating findings and proposals to upper management
  • Using and evaluating our ERP system for evaluation, improvement, and documentation of manufacturing processes in the form of manufacturing operations management, manufacturing bill of materials, and part creations
  • Estimating labor requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions
  • Evaluating processes for effects on cost, quality, throughput, and capacity
  • Developing, directing and/or evaluating capital equipment purchases proposals
  • Providing engineering support in manufacturing and assembly to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Interacting with external resources on new product design and process as requested
  • Supporting safe work practices, assessing compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Reporting any deviations for corrective action.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in product development programs and the transfer of new products into manufacturing
  • Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies preferred
  • Excellent analytical and math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate and lead cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of Process Engineering software systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems


  • Applicable Engineering Degree (Electronic, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing)
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read schematics, design plans, etc
