The organization is seeking a Finance Manager, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • This position is the financial lead for 2 sites within our Space and Defense portfolio. The role supports our financial leads for the two businesses while reporting directly to the SVP of Finance for special projects.
  • Responsible for ongoing review and reporting of sales and margins of the programs and sites under your purview
  • Partner with the management team build forecasts and annual budgets
  • Support preparation of the strategic 5-year plan
  • Support all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
  • Support headcount forecasting and reporting with the HR leadership team
  • Lead all EAC analysis and ETC completion processes with program management team
  • Run all month end GM analytics and costing processes
  • Conduct variance analysis based on actuals, spend plans, and trends and partner with leadership team to identify issues and opportunities
  • Team with SVP on special projects including but not limited to group consolidations, automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Prepare and analyze weekly / monthly reports for management team
  • Prepare monthly cost reports in accordance with contract requirements on specific contracts
  • Assist with month end close duties including preparation and reconciliation of journal entries

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of general or cost accounting, auditing, or financial analyst experience in a manufacturing-based business
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience and leading teams
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders at a strategic level
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to communicate both written (including PPT) and verbally
  • Experience with project accounting and government contract accounting preferred
